jQuery 2.0 JavaScript framework to drop support for IE 6, 7, and 8
The developers at Jquery have decided to drop support for ie 6,7 and 8 in Jquery2.0 (in 2013). I think it’s a bold step that had to be made to get people to upgrade their browsers and move to newer versions. The reason for this is to make Jquery lighter, faster and better as most of the issues slowing the library down have been due to the work arounds made for IE 6,7,8. Developers will still be able to provide support for legacy browsers with Jquery 1.9 which will be rolled out at about the same time as Jquery 2.0. check out this article that explains it all. The web is slowly changing people and it’s about time every body moves along. It’s a webvolution!
